A few quarried bays and a smaller edge. Rock generally sound. Main bay is sheltered from prevailing winds and has a magnificent back wall (22m high).

The main edge is a virtually continuous face of exceptionally clean and quick-drying rock of the highest quality up to 17m high. Both natural and quarried buttress exist, giving a variety of climbing styles, although the edge is home to some of the best slab climbing in the country.

A pleasant (for a quarry!) climbing ground with easy access and good 'crack' with the locals. Mostly good rock on the right side of vertical! Routes mainly VS and above approx 15 - 20m long.

A beginner-friendly crag amply provided with square-cut jugs and picnic spots. Good quality, well travelled gritstone. Generally easy, slabby climbs popular with beginners.
